The superior man is modest in his speech, but excels in his actions.

君子欲讷于言，而敏于行。

If you have things done hastily, you will not reach the goal. If you only see small gains, you will not accomplish great tasks.

欲速则不达，见小利则大事不成。

Let the world know what you live for...not what you fall for.

If the Great Way perishes there will morality and duty. When cleverness and knowledge arise great lies will flourish. When relatives fall out with one another there will be filial duty and love. When states are in confusion there will be faithful servants.

大道废，有仁义；智慧出，有大伪；六亲不和，有孝慈；国家昏乱，有忠臣。

The sage does not hoard. The more he helps others, the more he benefits himself, The more he gives to others, the more he gets himself. The Way of Heaven does one good but never does one harm. The Way of the sage is to act but not to compete.

圣人不积，既以为人，己愈有，既以与人，己愈多。天之道，利而不害；圣人之道，为而不争。
